Chapter Twenty Seven: Self-Control

It’s been barely an hour since Luna left the pack, and much to my annoyance, I haven’t stopped thinking about her and what happened between us earlier today.

I couldn’t help the guilty feeling that gnawed inside me anytime I was reminded of how I had spoken rudely to her earlier.

Simply saying that I felt terrible would be an understatement, and I had a feeling I must have given her the impression that the only reason I proposed that we get along was because of our pack's alliance.

If I were to be completely honest, the biggest reason I proposed that she and I try to get along was mostly because I did not want to have a fallout with her father, but I also have to admit that deep down, I wanted to get along with her.

It was just that whenever she and I happened to be together, I just immediately became defensive around her, and I enjoyed poking her and getting her upset.
