It's Friday. This has been the longest week of my life. Even though Bren insisted I started training right away, I have opted to wait and start tomorrow.
Last night was incredible and I can’t wait to go flying again. Uncle wasn’t happy with me when he found out I flew without him there. He said some nonsense about that I could have been hurt, but honestly, I think he just wanted to see it for himself.
Our whole pack is under an Alpha command not to tell a soul that Gloria and I have already shifted and that there is something more to me than a
Please bare with me. I am new to this this and am having to make some adjustments to my chapters. I am almost done though.
---Warrick--- I was looking forward to seeing Divina at lunch and when shedidn’tshow, I tried to mind link her, but she was blocking me. Did I do something wrong? I wrack my brain and think back over this morning anddon’tthink so.I noticed afterawhile, Greg got up and walked over to the deli counter and came back with a wrap and a bottled water that hedidn’teat. That’sodd for him.He eats more than Brandon and that guy can eat. Damien: ‘What’sup with you?You areawfully quiet.’
I drop the mind link and realize that we are entering the training grounds and am shocked to see around 50 people stretching and some are already sparring. I gulp. Idon’tknow if I can do this. The man that spoke to my mom and I the first day we entered the pack territory, walks over to us and nods respectfully to Bren and looks over at me and takes in my attire. His look is a bitdisapprovingand he says, “You’llhave to lose the baggy top. Your sparring partner will have that up and over your face before you can blink." “Divina, this is Marcus, dad’s Head Warrior, and he runs the training program for our
Warrick never reachedout and ignored my tried to mind link him all weekend so by the time Monday rolled around, I was a mess. I took my time getting ready andwore my hair in loose waves. For my eyes, I did asmokylook and finished theitoff with a nude lipstick. I picked out a light pink sweater that fell off one shoulder, a pair of grey skinny jeans, and the black ankle boots that have quickly become my favorite pair of shoes.
---Warrick--- Fuck me. “What the hell are you doing, Warrick?!” Vanessa is seething and her hands are clenched at her side. I was in her face now, talking low, trying to keep a measure of control. “I never agreed to the deal our fathers made and if I can figure out a way to get out of it, I will. Idon’twan
---Warrick--- It’s a quarter to midnight and my dad has been asleep since 10pm. He was drinking pretty heavy tonight and I slipped him a couple of the sleeping pills that he sometimes takes when he has trouble sleeping. He shouldn’t wake up until the morning and his Beta, Damien's dad, has over night patrol so we should be in the clear. Damien knocks quietly at my bedroom door and I let him in. He moves with excited energy and you wouldn’t think we were about to do something that could get us killed if we were to be caught. He smiles wickedly and bounces on his toes. “You ready to say fuck you to your old man?” “I'm more than ready.” I say, returning his smile. I spray myself down with a spray that covers my scent and toss it to Damien who does the same. I peek my head out of my door and look up and down the hallway. We head down to the second floor and stand in front of my father's office door.
---Divina--- I walk into the school building with Bren, and we pass by the dance team audition poster. “Crap! With everything going on, I forgot to even check to see if I made the team.” I stop in front of the poster and stare at it wistfully. “Well, if I didn’t hear anything yesterday, I’m sure I know my answer.” Bren reaches out and rubs my arm sympathetically, “I’m sorry, Divina. I know how much you love dancing.” “True, but I knew it was a long shot. Anyway, let’s go.” I link my arm through Bren’s and we head to our lockers. There’s a girl I haven’t met before leaning against my locker and when she sees me, she straightens up, and motions me to follow her. She quickly ducks into the classroom next to my locker and I follow her cautiously. I try and fail miserably to not remember the things that Warrick did to me and how he made me feel in this very classroom. I squeeze my legs together trying to extinguish the f
---Divina--- It’s time for lunch and I am starving. I meet Bren and Gloria at their locker and we make our way to the cafeteria. “I'm going to stop in at the bathroom. Can you grab me a soda and 3 slices of pepperoni pizza with a side of ranch?” I ask as I veer off to the restroom. “Got it, babe. You and your ranch dressing. Is that a southern thing? Ranch with your pizza.” Gloria scrunches her nose up at me. “I don’t know. The food at my last school was so bad we doused everything in ranch and I found I really like it with pizza.” I shrug and duck into the bathroom. I am washing my hands when Vanessa comes in the restroom and locks the door, blocking my only exit. I turn warily to her and feel Alina become alert, but she stays hidden in the recesses of my mind. It wouldn’t be smart to give her away when Vanessa is supposed to think we don’t have a wolf. Her face is murderous and I can see the hint of ins
---Warrick--- I am gripped with panic as I sprint from the cafeteria ignoring the concerned shouts of our friends. Ihave toget to Divina. I am almost blinded by the scene that unfolds itself in my mind as my little mate battles a demon. A fucking demon! I watched in horror as it erupts from Vanessa's wolf and pick up my speed. I have no idea where I am going, but the mate bond is pulling me to her. I try to yank open the door before me, butit’slocked so I pound uselessly against it. I am ready to shift and rip through it when Divina opens it, looking as if shedidn’tjust battle a fucki
