Chapter 33: Breaking and Entering

It’s a quarter to midnight and my dad has been asleep since 10pm.  He was drinking pretty heavy tonight and I slipped him a couple of the sleeping pills that he sometimes takes when he has trouble sleeping.  He shouldn’t wake up until the morning and his Beta, Damien's dad, has over night patrol so we should be in the clear.  

Damien knocks quietly at my bedroom door and I let him in.  He moves with excited energy and you wouldn’t think we were about to do something that could get us killed if we were to be caught. 

He smiles wickedly and bounces on his toes. “You ready to say fuck you to your old man?”

“I'm more than ready.” I say, returning his smile.

I spray myself down with a spray that covers my scent and toss it to Damien who does the same. I peek my head out of my door and look up and down the hallway.

We head down to the second floor and stand in front of my father's office door.
