Chapter 35

Alana’s POV

I held my breath as Ava turned the explanation over in her head. Then she huffed and pulled Alaric away with her.

I let out my breath heavily, my heart still beating fast. I don't know how I'd survived but I was glad I did!

Whew!

That Ava girl was no doubt a real life Regina George.

And thank God for Alaric's quick thinking. At one point I'd thought he wouldn't play along and then Ava 2.0 would be unleashed. He was so smart. And I was glad of that.

I slid to the ground as my imagination ran wild, thinking of what could have happened if I hadn't thought fast and Ava had caught Alaric and I having a heart to heart.

I grimaced as I imagined her throwing me over the balcony. That wouldn't be pretty at all.

"Or what if she snuck into your room at night and –"

"Oh shut up Georgia." I cut my wolf off in one of her gory imaginations. I laughed lightly.

"Where do you get off dreaming up such mayhem?"

Georgia began to giggle. "I'm your deepest darkest thoughts!" She said ominously.
