Chapter 19 – Bearer Of The the Alpha's Heir

Slowly, I blinked my eyes open, feeling my head heavy, I was totally weak and lazy. Where was I? The last thing I remembered was those brutal rogue wolves circling me, hunger in their eyes as they leered at my pregnant belly.

Then that massive dark wolf appeared, a whirlwind of fangs and fury, tearing into the rogues with primal violence. I shuddered recalling the alpha's terrible power.

I was in some kind of luxurious bedroom, sunlight filtering through tall windows. Plush furs covered the regal-looking bed I lay in. This wasn't the wilderness anymore - I'd been brought somewhere safe. But where? And by whom?

The door opened and an elderly woman entered, her silver-streaked hair pulled back in a simple braid. She smiled kindly at seeing me awake.

"Ah good, you're with us again young one," she said, her voice gentle but laced with a subtle power. "You had us quite worried there for a while."
