Chapter Seventeen

“Did I ask you for any of your opinions?” Alston replied with furrowed brows before walking out on Zachariah.

Zachariah sighed helplessly as he watched him move out, wondering when they’ll return to the pack. To be candid, he was already tired of the human world and their sense of reasoning. All he wanted now was to run away back to his pack, and stay in the small house with his alpha, not watch over a little girl who seemed like she couldn’t even hurt a fly.

Arya got out of school with her shoulders slumped. She had put her EarPod in her ear even before she got out. Right now, she doesn't even want to speak to anyone, she just wants to be by herself and wrap her head about everything that’s going on. Maybe find a sheet of paper and start profiling everyone down.

She hurried into the bus and found a corner with a window to seat down, her eyes staring outside the window.

“Arya…” Eileen said, jolting her out of her thoughts.

“Don’t scare me like that again.” Arya retorted
