I was shocked by the question Dalia asked me. What did she mean by that?

I looked away from her and fixed my gaze somewhere else, because I was feeling a bit weird. "Don't worry, you can tell me." She urged, shaking my hands to face her.

After avoiding her gaze for a few seconds, i finally faced her and without smiling, I said, "I don't know." Even though I knew that I didn't love Dimitri that way, I just didn't want to tell Dalia like that. So, she wouldn't feel weird about it.

She narrowed her eyes at me, trying to see if I was lying. "I'm telling the truth, Dalia. I honestly don't know. I mean, we just became mates. Let's see what has to unfold later, right?" I tried smiling at her, but it didn't work.

I fixed my eyes somewhere else, when I felt like I was looking stupid. "Yeah, I understand." She finally said, and I replied with a smile.
