"I told you we would meet again," the werewolf said, his face twisted into a wicked grin.

I stared at him in fear, my breath frozen in my throat. I couldn't move a muscle and it terrified me. Why couldn't I move?

The werewolf seemed to understand me and he chuckled. "Don't worry," he assured. "It's a mild tranquilizer, something to calm your spirited wolf while we have a little chitchat. Can't risk letting you bite my head off"

He laughed at his own joke and all I could do was stare at him. My entire limbs felt like jelly. I tried to connect with Moon but she had retreated far into my mind, a place I couldn't reach her.

"I hope my little pets weren't too much for you," the werewolf continued, waving a hand towards the rogue werewolves. "They're so obedient when it comes to following my orders"

"You... control... the rogues?" I asked in shock, forcing the words through my lips that were so numb that it was difficult to speak.

"Of course, my sweet," the werewolf said, relaxing against a
