Parker's P.O.V.

'They're retreating,' Scarlett informed me, and I growled under my breath when I realized that I still wasn't able to hear the regular communication in the pack link, only conversations directed to me. 'You shouldn't have been able to do that.'

I ignored the suspicion in her tone as the male glared up at me. He was roughly the same size as me, which was still vastly larger than most other wolves, but he was no threat. I knew if it came down to it, I could take him in a fight easily.

He was running off emotion, not strategy, and that was dangerous enough to get even the strongest wolf killed. When he was killed, I wanted to be the one to do it. I nodded to the four wolves holding his chains, gesturing with my head for them to have him follow me. I knew Scarlett would move in behind him to ensure he was completely surrounded.

Jack and mate will die for what the have done. Now we know where kaylees mom is in the next pack over. Glad she’s still alive but it means nothing for them to come barging in the way they did. I’d kill him and his father.
