Author's POV...
The crowds shook their heads in disappointment. The guards, in particular, bowed their heads in disappointment too.
Caleb watched Diana cry softly. His heart broke as he saw her weep, but he couldn't do anything.Diana fell numb on the floor as the day's incident started reoccurring. She remembered how Roy had tried his best to win her heart. Their relationship was a smooth one. They spent their private time together as though they were newly wedded couples. Their relationship was one to be jealous of. But just months ago, Roy started to ignore her. He always complained about how busy and tired he was. He stopped making love to her, but she never bothered to disturb him. Just believing he was actually busy.Diana also recalled how she had once seen him coming out of Kara's room. When she questioned him, he told her he wanted to discuss security issues with Kara. She believed it without much thought. He stopped checking up on her, and that'sLogan's POV...I stood at the court like a proud dad, seeing how well my plans had played out and knowing there was no way in hell Kara would manipulate her way out of this mess she had created for herself."What do you have to say in your defence, Kara? Are all these allegations against you true?" Elder Matthew asked, with the whole room filled with silence. The court was as quiet as a graveyard showing how severe the case was; Kara had gotten herself into a huge mess."Everything is false; they want to throw me out of the pack. It is all a lie! They are blackmailing me," Kara cried out, trying to manipulate her way out of the situation using fake tears and a pitiful look."Shut the fuck up, you whore. I guess you can't lie your way out of this one now, can you?" I asked Kara with a broad smile on my face."You dare call me a whore?" Kara spurt out, looking very disappointed
Logan’s POV… “You will not give up, will you? Or do you want to embarrass yourself further by trying to deny the clear evidence presented against you today?” I fired at Kara. Kara shook her head innocently, turning to the elders. “How do you know if this isn’t all just a set-up against me? I will never cheat on my Alpha. I don’t know how they came up with this planted evidence, but everything is a lie. I have been faithful to Logan since day one, but things started falling apart after he brought in that slave! Can’t you see that he is doing all this to push me away and bring in Alexa as his mate? He wants to shift all the focus from Danister’s daughter, who has bewitched him and place all the hatred on me, who is innocent. It will not work! No matter what, I will stand my ground in this place because I know I am innocent. I did not cheat on you, Alpha Logan; may the goddess herself bear me witness.” As they listened to her, I noticed the mixtures of confusion on their faces; she w
Logan's POV…"So what do you have to say for yourselves?" I questioned them. They remained quiet with their heads bent, some stealing side glances to look at one another, none even so much as passing a glare in my direction. It seemed they were searching their minds for what to say. "Speak!" I stated impatiently. My loud tone frightened them, and then they knew that staying quiet would increase their punishment. Martin was the first one to speak up. "I-I never wished to do it, sire. I swear. I never had eyes for Kara, but she forced me the first time after threatening me if I didn't sleep with her. After that, I tried to avoid her, but she kept constantly calling me to her room. I tried to get away from her, but she kept threatening me…." I laughed at his statement, which made him pause, "Kara kept threatening you, with what exactly?" I asked him. "She threatened to kill me." Another one of them, Lugard, spoke up too after Martin, "Kara threatened to frame and accuse me of rapi
Logaan's POV..."The people had been brainwashed into thinking that Kara only had the best interest of the pack and that no other person would be the right fit," Elder Albert added. "I hate to admit that we were also partly responsible for this. It was from Kara to us and from us to them. They had been conditioned to only accept Kara. But with what we have seen today, we are certain you have made the right choice, Alpha Logan. We will let the pack know what happened in this meeting room and clear up any possibility of her becoming queen." "I appreciate that you all do not speak in defence of Kara even when her wrongs are glaring. I am happy that you do not also want me to marry her, which is what I had been trying to make you all know before now. I am glad now that you have seen with your eyes that she is not fit to be a Luna," I said.. they all nodded. Knowing the pack members fully well, they knew the task ahead would be challenging. They would demand and insist that Kara was the L
Logan's POV... All the elders sat as witnesses as I pronounced banishment on all the men who had had affairs with Kara. After leaving the court, they were escorted straight to the pack's borders, never to return again. The elders were satisfied with the verdict, but I never did any of what I did to please them, but rather because it was fitting for their crimes. As for Kara, I told them of my intention to still keep her within these territories. They didn't question me; I was thankful for that, though I would still deal with her after a lengthy prison sentence. The elders left with the mind that we would not be having this type of meeting for a long time. It was left to them to go and untell the pack members whatever lies they told about Kara being the best candidate for queen. I was grateful to have Simon back from the pack he had gone to represent me, but I had been too occupied upon his return to ask about the journey. He understood perfectly
Author's POV... ***TEN MONTHS LATER***Selena sat at the edge of the bed. It was a small medical unit in the pack house, and she had just been briefed by the doctor during her final session. After months of therapy, he told her she was fine and ready to go on with her normal life. She could feel her inner wolf longing to be out in the open and enjoy the serenity that the forest offered, to breathe in the sweet-smelling air of the forest and bask in the warm sun rays. According to Alexa's request made before she left, Alpha Logan checked up on her occasionally to ensure she was fine. It's been so long, but she missed Alexa a lot and wished terribly that she was right there with her. Therapy had taken a whole lot of time for Selena, but now she was healed. She was ready for things to go back to normal. She missed dining with the other wolves and couldn't wait to begin training with the guards, as Simon had set her up for self-defence lessons. Her life was fine now, but it still felt
Author's POV.The next morning, Selena woke up to an empty room. The bed was well made on the side, vacant beside her. It was long cold, and she knew he had left for a long time.Selena and Simon were not mates, and although her wolf had enjoyed him, she did not feel that tingle or the way mated people described. But she loved him a lot, and through the night, Simon had told her that he loved her too.The night passed with them both sweaty and exploring every each of their skins, kissing, touching, letting the fire burn them till they reached their peak over and over again. Selena sighed as she rolled over, partly worried that he left before she woke, but then her slag muscles gave her a sense of calm and relaxation that came with passionate lovemaking. This morning, she had her training to do, and she wanted to try if the crowded dining room would make her keep down any meal.As she anticipated the day ahead, she remembered the first
Logan's POV...The air was a little warm, and although I was a good distance away from the kitchen, I could still smell the odd aroma of raw meat being fried. The smell of burnt blood did things to my nostrils that I could not just explain. Maybe it appealed to my inner wolf.I had missed dinner with the rest of my men at the pack dining room. I was more concerned with my heart, which was beating a little out of control, than my grumbling stomach.Simon had joked once or twice about my current state of loneliness and how he thought it was affecting my productivity - whatever that meant. To me, I was doing perfectly alright, and there was no reduction in my productivity. I trained when I had to, I was always available for patrols, I did rounds in the territory and I tried to make sure everything was perfect. I still could not understand why Simon thought I was not performing at my best.Simon tried all he could to cheer me up, but I noticed that Simon and
