I could finally admit to myself that I was getting miserable. All the men I had to send out to search for Alexa returned with anything but the woman herself.
It was getting increasingly uncomfortable for me, and the council members had somehow gotten air of the fact that I was still looking for Alexa. The elders had sent someone to me for a meeting later that evening, but I had no intentions of showing up.
Selena and Simon were both very supportive.
