Aurora’s POV

“Are you okay?” I cringed at how my voice sounded, it was laced with concern and I didn't know if I meant it or not. As I stood in that park with Alexis, it was like looking at an open book that was not open.

There was nothing wrong with the way Alexis treated me, he had kept to his words and he seemed almost changed. For a while couldn't help but believe him that maybe he had truly changed and I doubted it at the same time. Did that make any sense to you?

Right now, I could see that something was off with him. It was obvious in his energy and I didn't know what to make about it. It felt like the first time he had locked himself up over again only that this time he was standing in front of me.

“Yeah, why?” I couldn't help but notice that his voice seemed distant, almost cold. What did I do wrong? I wondered.

“I don't know, you look exhausted” my voice trailed off, I didn't want to offend him

“Just working too hard, I'm fine”

We stood quietly beside each other. I was weigh
