Chapter 61

The next day, no one made mention of the incident of yesterday. It was something that we all decided to ignore. And I'm thankful for that. I wasn't ready to talk. If anyone had asked me any questions, I was sure I was going to break down again.

"Good morning." I greeted my parents as I saw them in the living room. I went to where my mom was sitting and plopped down next to her, resting my head on her.

"How was your night? Did you sleep well?" I nodded. I opened my phone, and was bombarded with a lot of messages and calls. I started sorting them out according to the order in which they appear.

First was Ava, who was asking about me. She wanted us to have a girls' night. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to make it, so I ignored it. Next was Jessica, who also sent the same message. I also ignored that. When I am well composed, I will talk to them. It wouldn't even be long before they found out I wasn't around anymore.
