Angel's POV The next morning, we ate breakfast with Dante's parents, Kamala and Jalen while workers noisily fixed the patio. The other Alphas chose to be served in their rooms. "Kamala told me what you did yesterday," Jalen said with a light chuckle. "I need to see that in action!" The excitement on his face only filled me with dread. I hurt Dante yesterday and could've killed them both. The scariest part was that I had no recollection of it. I felt like a danger to myself and everyone else around me. Dante felt my unease and squeezed my hand underneath the table. I noticed that I was doing a better job hiding my emotions from him. I figured that if I could block him from hearing my thoughts, I could do the same for my emotions. It worked until the feeling was too overwhelming; that was the only time he seemed to react.
