ALPHA KYLIAN'S POV

Leaving at night seemed to be the most practical decision. That way, people wouldn't notice me too much. At night, the pack’s activities slowed down, and there were fewer eyes to witness me leaving.

As I packed the last of my belongings, I couldn't help the mix of emotions I felt inside me. A part of me was excited - I mean, I was going to see Lorraine again. It had been four years and I'd thought of her ever since. Another part of me felt doubtful - what if she didn't want me? What if she couldn't forgive me? If she couldn't forgive me, I would hate myself. I was determined to do anything to make her be mine again. I know it wouldn't be easy but I was willing to do whatever it took.

The door creaked open, and Molly stepped in. Her eyes were red and puffy. She had been crying. I fought the urge to roll my eyes.
