Smoke...

Why do I smell... smoke...?

An eerie scent invaded my nostrils as my eyes struggled to open, irritated by something in the air. My entire body was in pain, my skin assaulted by a burning sensation. I tried to push up, but something heavy was crushing my shoulders, pinning me to the ground. I could feel something sharp poke at my back, making every movement pure agony.

Debris blocked most of my vision, making it impossible for me to see anything or assess my whereabouts. I groaned, unable to move as panic slowly began to take over... I could hear distant voices, distorted by the echo of the ringing in my ears and I screamed for help.

"HEELP!! I'M OVER HERE!" I didn't hear a response, but I felt small vibrations in the ground indicating someone was walking towards me.
