Oh gosh, what did I just do?

Why did I give the Alpha full-on permission to kiss me whenever he wanted? I feel so stupid now, but at the time, the words poured out of me before I could stop them.

So now, Alpha Xavier is looking at me, grinning ear to ear as if he had just won the lottery. Does kissing me makes him happy this much?

"Ahem...Alpha Xavier?" I hesitate.

"What is it, Sylvia?" he says in a low and husky voice.

I sink my teeth into my bottom lip. He is sitting so close to me that I can feel his body heat radiating off him. It is making my heart race, and I don't like it. "You can go back to your room now."

His face falls. "Go back to my room?" he repeats.

"Yes. It is quite late, so why don't you go back to sleep?" I say.

Alpha furrows his brows as if he is thinking about something. "I think I should stay here."

I let out a small gasp. "What? Why?"

"You still look a bit shaken up from the nightmare, so I think I should keep you company," he declares.
