Alec's POV

"Is she still refusing to come out of her room?" I looked at Keira when she got out from Skye's room.

Two days had passed since the rogues had ruthlessly killed that young pack member. I asked Keira if she had known the kid, but even she was unaware of his existence.

Only after the incident did I get to know the boy, and tragically, it was the same day he met his demise. But as unfortunate as it was we had to move on, especially since enemies are lurking in the dark.

Rufus's mother was still gripped by grief, and we felt helpless in our efforts to console her. We'd cremated his body, placing his ashes in an urn and gave it to her.

I went personally to their house, but when she saw me she immediately lashed out, saying that me and my family were incompetent and that we were the reason why her son got killed.

She even accused me of bullying the kid which I had no idea where she got it from.

I got suspicious why she could point out such an allegation so blatantly without fea
