SHADOW OF DARKNESS
As they tried again to enter the temple They were greeted by a strange scene. The walls were adorned with odd patterns and shimmering runes, and the air smelled strongly of old magic.
They didn't have long to take in the views before they were faced by the entity in charge of the darkness. It was a hideous beast with ember-like eyes and a body shrouded in darkness.
Luna and Phillip battled valiantly, utilizing their combined abilities to repel the creature's strikes. But no matter how hard they struggled; the creature appeared to get stronger by the second.
When all appeared lost, a person emerged from the shadows, holding a massive sword. It was Luna's mother, and she had come to help them in their struggle.
They were able to push back the beast and take control of the darkness by working together. But Luna and Phillip couldn't ignore the impression that there was something more lurking in the shadows, waiting to attack.

Luna and Phillip stood by and watched as Aric fought the beast. They could see the tension on his face, his muscles tensing with every stroke of his sword. They were about to give up when they felt a strong hand clasp theirs and pull them upwards. Luna and Phillip raised their heads to see Aric and Ophelia, their features solemn."We won't let you fall," Aric said emphatically, his grasp on their hands tight.They struggled together against the darkness, pushing back with all their strength. It was a struggle of wills, with each passing second seeming to last forever. But, gradually, they began to climb, breaking free from the abyss.They finally emerged into the light, panting for air. They had returned to their world, surrounded by familiar sights and sounds.Aric and Ophelia stood at their sides, somber expressions on their faces."What has just happened?" As the group of shadowy figures emerged from the forest, Luna's heart raced. She grasped her weapon hard, bracing herself for the worst. She could tell that they were humanoid in shape as they got closer, but their features were obscured by the darkness that enveloped them. A weird scene greeted Luna and Phillip as they exited the room. The environment they were in was different. They were no longer in the gloomy, dark dungeon, but in a brilliant, bright field. Deep blue skies with wispy clouds floating lazily overhead characterized the scene. In the distance, they could hear birds chirping."What is happening?"
