Alexander's POV

Together, we set off into the night, apart from Laura, she wasn't herself, so I couldn't let her come. I just left her in the hideout with another girl in the pack to keep her company. As we go our wolf senses on high alert. We had to find Chris before it was too late.

As we ran through the woods, I could hear the sound of snarling and growling in the distance. It was clear that we were getting closer, and fast. We picked up our pace, each of us taking the lead as we pushed through the brush and over fallen logs.

I could hear Chris's voice on the phone, weak and fading. It was a race against time, against our enemies, because if they found him before us, they'd make sure they don't make any mistakes again, and a race against fate itself.

"Chris!" I yelled into the phone, my voice echoing through the woods. "We're coming for you! Hang on, buddy. Hang on!"

Then the call went dead, leaving a silence that swept over me like a cold wave. My heart threatened to stop beating,
