Chapter Hundred and Four: Stronger Than Them

A tense stillness lingered around us. Devyn confronted the three wolves, his teeth bared at them menacingly, and his stance ready to attack. The three wolves circled around us, their predatory gaze fixed on us as if we were prey. I could feel the confidence they exuded, clearly not threatened by us. In their heads, they were the threats themselves.

I observed them closely, noticing the resemblance to Devyn with their dark fur and large bodies. Their fur was an inky black, almost blending with the darkness around us. Unlike Devyn, their furs didn’t look they felt soft. They looked like touching them would stain your hands or even hurt you.
