Beta Silver walked beside me as we made our way to the dungeons.

We'd spent hours in the woods by the two silver poles, just talking. It amazed me how much the beta wanted to share with me.

He'd talked about some of his childhood, the mischievous things he did with his twin and the alpha when they were just pups, how they used to reck the kitchen and upset Beatrice.

Beta Silver didn't talk about his parents. I assumed it was a touchy subject so I didn't want to ask. But he did talk about Beatrice as if she was their birth mother.

I was also surprised by the fact that no one came looking for me. I knew that I should have returned to the kitchen and wait for the omegas to ask for help but with the shock of what had happened in Raphael's study, I didn't want to go back to the main pack house.

I didn't know when it happened, but Kalven had, at some point, left the two of us in the woods.
