I slammed the door shut after I stepped in to my study and rushed over to my desk.

I walked around the desk and dropped myself on my leather seat before I reached for the bottom drawer and pulled it open.

Reaching in, I grabbed the phone and dialed the only number I know. I didn't care what time it was, I needed to have a little chat with my informant.

I pressed the phone to my left ear and heard it ring three times before he finally picked up.

"Why are you calling me at this hour?" He mumbled, his tired voice barely audible through the phone.

"Do you want to tell me why the fuck there were actual shifters in those trucks?" I roared.

The other side of the phone went silent and for a few seconds, all I could hear was shuffling noises.

"What are you talking about?" He whispered.

"The containers that were being transported to Landor's territory, why did it have shifter in them?" I asked again.

"No." I heard him mumble. "There... There were only animals. No shifter
