LISA'S POV
I felt like I was overreacting. This was probably nothing and it was simply a coincidence.
It couldn't be what I was thinking. I refused to believe the man standing outside was who I thought he was.
"Kayden, is everything all with you? You seem unwell." Brandon asks his best friend with true concern.
"I'm doing fine, I think. Is there something wrong, Dr. Brandon?"
"Nothing is. You look kind of funny to me, that's all."
Kayden sighed. "I've been stressed out a lot of late. It's nothing that I can't take care of.
"Maybe, you should sit down. I can make a quick breakfast if you don't mind."
"I'm afraid I'll have to pass on your request, old friend. Forgive me, I must be on my way soon. There are matters of state that need my presence."

LISA'S POVAt midnight, we pull into a motel's parking lot."I'd like to get a room with double beds. Is that possible?" LISA'S POVI stare at him with my mouth wide open. My mouth remains open as he stands up and heads over to place an order, the menu list in his hand.The villain of the storyI didn't believe it but did he have any reason to lie to me? If what he had said was true, that means he would be the worst villain ever recorded in history by a mile. He could also pass for being a pathetic villain too.Naturally, from the little I know, Jonas is far from Pathetic. But if he were the villain of our unpredictable story, why would he save my life? Not once or twice, I stopped counting at three. Or was there a fourth time? Since I was dirt poor to afford a television, I had relied upon comics books to give me the same thrill and I had never read about a villain who acted the same way Jonas was. He even killed someone affiliated with the Council for my sake.

LISA'S POVThat night as I lay down in bed, I pull the covers of the bedsheet up past my shoulders and bury my head deeper into the pillow to get a little bit of warmth. The motel room is freezing. The air conditioners in the room were really working effectively. Extremely well in fact. I was guessing Jonas had something to do with it, the motel room wasn't as cold as this yesterday.All the same, I was grateful. We had to roam around for a while before we found a parking spot a few blocks away from the mall.As soon as we entered through the main building, I quickly concluded that the crowd here was twice the number of people living in the town alone.
