LISA'S POV
"Lisa! Lisa!" Jonas says loudly shaking me out of my daydream.
"Yes?" I blink my eyes rapidly, trying to catch up with reality.
"I'm sorry about that, I got caught up in the past." I offer him a wry smile. This was one of the reasons I hated digging up the ghosts of my past, it always managed to consume me and suck me into the horrors I had faced decades ago. I hated that, I've tried to keep my memory about the Alpha Dom buried for so long and I was succeeding until now.
Jonas puts his hand on top of mine and gives me a reassuring squeeze. "Are you okay?" He asks with a concerned look on his face.
I press my bottom lip to my top lip, trying to stop my jaw from trembling. I shake my head. "I don't know."

LISA'S POVThat night as I lay down in bed, I pull the covers of the bedsheet up past my shoulders and bury my head deeper into the pillow to get a little bit of warmth. The motel room is freezing. Lisa's POV I lower myself onto the bed, still reeling from what had just transpired. I can't believe it. The Prime Alpha had been in my room. Jonas was part of the Council. It was too much for me to take in all at once.

LISA's POVOne hour later, we check out of the motel and drive to the nearest mall, located on the outskirts of the town. There was a large number of people trooping in and out of the mall. There was barely enough space to move an inch. I took a step forward, and a woman slammed into me unapologetically. I move to the side, trying to get close to Jonas, and I get stopped by a man carrying an outrageous number of shopping bags.
