CHAPTER 31

Lisa's POV

A driver stood outside with a black Cadillac when I stepped out of the house.

"Miss Lisa?" he asked.

"That's me."

He opened the door for me. I stepped in, and he shut it. I was quite certain that I wasn't going to die today. Kayden had already promised I wouldn't, but one can never be too sure. Especially after the warning, Jonas had given me.

During the trip into town, the driver stayed silent and focused on the road, an act for which I was grateful. At the moment, I didn't feel like talking to anyone. I ran my hand along with the black leather of the seat next to me and leaned my head back, watching the trees blur as we sped past them. The car smelt new. I wondered if it was the Prime Alpha's car or one of the numerous ones he had.

My stomach continued to grumble loudly, clearly annoyed at being deprived of food. We entered a town with the signboard Riverdale, and the driver then made his way over
