My heart was racing as James’s hand held my neck in a tight grip. Anger and hatred were evident in his eyes.
It was almost as if he could snap my neck at any moment. But I wouldn’t back down, not now, not ever. He could kill me for all I care.
Despite the situation, I couldn’t miss the way tingles and sparks coursed through me as he gripped my neck and pressed his body on mine. Ignoring the tingles, I glared at him.
“What are you waiting for? A whistle blow?” I sneered as his expression darkened.
“Don’t try my patience woman,” he spat, his hot breath fanning my face as he had leaned in closer. The grip on my neck loosened and he placed his palms on the wall, caging me in his arms.
Now what was he up to?
“You think you can reject me? I rejected you!” He sneered and my stomach twisted, my chest felt heavy… like a boulder was placed down on it.. the feeling was so suffocating.
