A Life To Save 

Quinn Magenta's POV

I was shocked and anxious at the same time. I couldn't believe I was seeing my runaway breeder after several months and I happened to see her in a pool of blood.

“Lydia! Oh, Lydia!” I cried, as I held her lifeless body in the same pool of blood.

My guards swung into action and they safeguarded the surroundings just in case this was an ambush. I was scared as well and I knew I had to leave this dangerous route but I still needed to know if Lydia was alive or dead.

“Hey!” I called one of my trusted guards. “Come and check for her pulse! I don't know if she's dead.”

I couldn't check for a pulse and that's why I needed someone to do it for me. The guard ran to me, put his sword away and checked for Lydia's pulse. As he did this, I felt my heart beating harder as I wouldn't like to hear that she was dead. From what I could feel, her body was still warm. I obviously knew how cold dead bodies were.

Then he looked at me with a sad facial expression. This got me more anx
