Superiority Complex

Lydia Richmond's POV

I was looking at the maids carefully. I wondered what they would do in this situation. One of them helped Beatrice while the rest gazed at me. My maids seemed to be ready to protect me as well.

“If you love yourselves…” I told Beatrice's maids. “... You will know better than trying to attack me. You can try to do so and you would see if your heads won't be cut off. Try this out and you won't live to tell the story.”

Beatrice's maids gazed at themselves intensely. They stopped looking at me and instead, they attended to Beatrice.

“Out of my way!” I shouted at them. The maids scampered out of the way and I gained free entrance.

I went my own way triumphantly. I had already made my return and it was in a grand state. I knew this would let Beatrice know that I wasn't the person she used to know before. .

I got to the library and found some books to read. I did this slowly and thought while I did this.
