Rodger POV

“Welcome, sisters,” I said, hugging Paulina first, squeezing her tightly, smiling as she clicked her gums to express her happiness at seeing me. Then, Driana took my hands, squeezing them gently with that all-knowing smirk on her face. It’s been twenty years since I have seen them face to face, and Driana looks much the same.

“You got more wrinkles than I remember,” Driana patted my cheek.

“Speak for yourself,” I chuckled.

Paulina pulled on my sleeve, and then pointed to the door to the cottage door. A cottage Beta Desmond gave me for my sisters’ use.

“Yes, this is where you will both be staying. I asked for somewhere more private, so you could be more comfortable. My charge, Kai, was kind enough to supply it with all the amenities you need.”

“And the ingredients for the spell?” Driana asked.

I nodded. “The last of them is being secured by Leonard. We couldn’t very well find tiger’s blood and viper venom at the local market.”
