Miles POV

“So pretty,” Ivar crooned as I carried Chloe up to my room. Our room. It wasn’t just my room any longer.

“She’s gorgeous,” I agreed, examining every detail on her face. I could stare at her all day. She just kept taking my breath away with how perfect she was. Her lashes were cashing long shadows on her cheeks in the dim light. Her lips were slightly open, full and pouty. I wanted to taste them again, but didn’t want to wake her.

She didn’t stir the entire time I carried her upstairs. I passed a few members, and they all smiled warmly, seeing their future Luna in my arms. Everything was coming together. I know the feeling of having my mate in my arms. I just need to get her mark on my neck and put one on hers in return.

As I tucked her into bed, I bent over her and tasted those lips that had been tempting me the entire walk up. I could taste her scent, which was driving me mad.

“I want a turn with mate,” Ivar whined, trying to push forward.

“Are you going to let her sleep?”
