Myla's fingers curled tightly around Noah's arm as the mall's vibrant chaos engulfed them. Around them, shoppers bustled, children laughed, and the distant aroma of pretzels and coffee mingled in the air. Amid this orchestrated chaos, her brain buzzed with a ferocious intensity, debating between feigning deafness or facing the aggravating man that happened to be her mate.

Before she could decide whether to answer, Alex's voice erupted likeyy a fire alarm, calling out her name again as though he was a drowning man at sea that needed her to save him.
