Noah hoisted Myla higher, his arms like steel bands around her waist. "What is it Noah?", She asked in a whisper after seeing his face.

"Something is following us", Noah replied in the same low tone.

"Something? Not someone?", She whispered again. Noah sighed. His lady needed to learn how to whisper.

"Yes I hear four steps instead of two", he said in his normal voice, since her whispering was just basically her talking anyway.

"Oh, oh no, what if it's a rogue wolf?", Myla asked worriedly. Noah furrowed his brows.
