31. Salaar

She was too stunned to speak. For a second, she thought she heard him wrong but the way his jaw was clenched indicated that he surely said what she heard.

She didn't say anything. What was she even supposed to say to that? It was sudden and out of the blue that she didn't know how to respond to it.

Her mind was still stuck with the injured kid and his mom. Their blood was all on the road.

She breathed in deeply to calm herself down as she blinked twice and looked out of the window silently.

Hamza's hold on the steering wheel tightened as her silence played brutally with his heart. This wasn't supposed to be the case. He shouldn't feel like this.

"Hooriya?" He called her name.

She took in a sharp breath and stayed as calm as possible with her gaze solely fixed on the passing trees.

He was serious, there wasn't any doubt in that.
