Chapter 47

I woke up the next morning before dawn, as usual. I took a shower, got dressed and walked to the kitchen. I poured a cup of coffee and started making biscuit dough. Once I had them all on the sheet pan to let the dough rest, I started cooking the bacon and sausage. When the sausage was done, I put the biscuits in the oven and started making milk gravy. When that was done, I put the sausage back in the gravy. I checked on the biscuits and they were done. As soon as I pulled the biscuits out of the oven, my mate walked into the kitchen and there was a knock on the door. I smiled as I wiped my hands, “Sounds like Alpha Lucien is here. You get your coffee. I’ll get the door.” He yawned, “Thank you, love.”
