I drove out of Nora's house feeling a pang of guilt. I had kissed her under the guise of being drunk, whereas I was not even a bit tipsy. I have always had a high tolerance for alcohol, and although the wine she served me was a strong liquor, I have had even stronger ones therefore, built a high resistance over the years.

When my father called me two days ago and told me that something terrible had happened at home and that I needed to be home as soon as possible, I thought he was joking. I thought it was just a ploy to get me to come home, as it had been a long time since I last visited.

"Father, I know it has been long since I saw you and that you must miss me so much," I chuckled. "Well, I miss you too, but I have been pretty busy lately. You just need to hang in there for a while longer. I will visit the pack soon," I had begged, waiting for him to sigh and make a snide remark like, "Alright, you caught me. Please come home soon. Your brother and I miss you, son."
