Chapter 52

Eden pov

I woke up in his warm arms around my waist as he spooned me. It was another night where I didn't spend the night alone, another night where I didn't take my meds.

I sighed as I think back on all that had happened. One memory from last night disturbed me. It disturbed me a lot, because I thought I saw him right at the ball. He shouldn't be there but I saw him, did he follow me?

“What are you thinking of? You'll have frown lines permanently etched on your face if you keep frowning this early.” he whispered.

I sighed and tried to peel his hands away but he wouldn't let me.

“I need to go.” I said but he moved further into me, his bare chest pressing against my back.

“No you don't.”

“Percy- remember what this is.” I said and he let me go. I didn't mean to use this card on him but it was necessary to keep things in check. I shiffled out of bed clearly aware that I am in his shirt and head out the door.

I sighed in relief with my back against the door and my eyes shut.
