Chapter nine

Nathan

Slamming the door angrily, I pull down my sleeves advancing into the company.

I had managed to keep up with every shenanigan Lisa performed at the restaurant and now I am having a terrible day.

“Good afternoon sir,” one of my staff passes me a greeting as I walk past the block of offices.

I don't respond and just continue on my way, my tongue moving all over my mouth as I think of Lisa.

I know she purposely served me an extremely hot tea just to get back at me.

Turning the doorknob, I step into my office and I'm shocked to see Danielle standing before me. I stagger backwards, almost colliding into the door.

“Why aren't you taking your calls?” She screams at my face, huffing.

The shock clears from my body and I gawk at her in disbelief. Not uttering a word, I walk to my desk and ring my secretary's telecom.

“Get in here.” I say in one breath.

Danielle stares at me in disbelief, she's about to say something but she stops, shrugging instead.
