Khloe Ferguson woke up to a buzzing sound from her phone that was vibrating at the study desk. Grumpily she turned on the message and found something she didn't want to see, something that'll ruin her morning. Apparently, Ethan and Katrina are going to have a baby. Khloe's eyes widened in shock!! “Didn't they just get married? How come she is pregnant?” Khloe said. Her eyes were now wild open. Ethan and Katrina were internet sensations so it was easy to dig up the history of those two, and to spread news about them easily. “You're done with him. He didn't deserve you anyway.” Khloe chided herself. “You're better than him and you'll prove it,” she said determinedly. She got out of bed and got dressed, ready to head for the office. Her stomach let out a loud growl, indicating she was hungry. “I can't go to work on an empty stomach. Just a little breakfast would do” She descended the stairs only to find Kelly and Arthur discussing. “Oh there you are,” Kelly said, acknowledging
Arthur's face became very pale as he stared at the woman coming close to him. Although she was totally oblivious of him, he still had a shocked expression laced on his face. “Kelly?” Arthur whispered unbelievably. The lady in red hair, scanned the place as if she was searching for something until her eyes darted at Arthur. Her face curled up in a smile. “Arthur” Kelly said in a melodic tone, waving her hands to him and walking up to him. “What are you doing here?” Arthur asked. “What? Can't I come and see you?” Kelly sat beside him and Sam adjusted himself to give them privacy. “It's not that. I'm… I wasn't really expecting you. Besides, you didn't tell me that you were coming down here. I could have prepared something. Or arrange a better place” Arthur said, with his voice and tone returning back to normal. “I wanted to surprise you,” she said. Kelly scanned Arthur's collects and made a disgusted face. “Why the hell are you wearing that?” She asked irritatedly. “What? These?
“I don't know what you're talking about,” Khloe said, yanking her hands away from Hannah's hold. “You better behave yourself. I'll say this one last time. Hand over to me what Foster gave you or else you'll face the consequences” Hannah threatened. “Even if I have it, why should I give it to you? The last time I checked, you wanted his inheritance just for your selfish needs and desires.” Khloe Ferguson said fiercely. Hannah's blood boiled from where she sat. She was pissed by Khloe's attitude but she knew better not to cause a scene. “I'll let you off for now. Just know I'll keep watching you, Khloe Ferguson,” she warned getting up. “Psft.. who does she think she is?” Khloe said. She watched Hannah storm out of the restaurant, her heart racing from the encounter. “She's this close to finding out my secret” she blew air and sighed. She still couldn't believe the audacity Hannah had, threatening her like that. But Khloe knew she wouldn't back down, not now that she has a hin
Khloe Ferguson staggered as she tried to attain composure. Her vision is so blurry and she's not in her right senses. Arthur stood confused as to what she is doing without further caution, she leaned forward and cupped his face in her thumb. Pressing his cheeks with her index finger and thumb, forcing him to open his mouth as she faced him and pressed her lips onto his mouth…and, suddenly she stuck her tongue inside. Arthur was taken aback by her sudden action. He stood watching as she kept kissing his lips, her mouth tasted of liquor and her red lipstick were staining his lips. She pulled away to get air into her lungs and wanted to continue but Arthur stopped her. “Khloe stop this,” he demanded, holding her shoulders. “Do you not like me?” She asked, pouting her lips. Arthur's face contorted in disgust. Then he let his impulsive thoughts take over and slapped her hard. “You're drunk Khloe. Come let me take you in,” he said. Slapping her didn't bring her senses back. He
Khloe Ferguson was still panicking when the car’s ignition turned on and the car roared to life. She still couldn't wrap her head around what happened nor remember anything that happened last night. “Don't think about it too much. You were pretty drunk,” Arthur said. “How can he be so calm after that?” She thought to herself. Maybe, it's actually, nothing.” “I'm not going to work today….” Khloe suddenly announced. “I'm going to visit someone at the cemetery. Take me to Mount Calvary Cemetery,” she ordered. Arthur raised his eyebrows, his head was running with all kinds of thoughts as to why she wanted to visit the cemetery all of a sudden. “Is one of her loved ones dead?” He reasoned. With no further questions, he manoeuvres the car to another direction, changing his GPS location. As they drove to Mount Calvary Cemetery, Khloe's mind kept racing with thoughts of the previous night. She still couldn't shake off that nagging feeling that something was off. She recalled how she felt
Khloe Ferguson got into the car, her eyes avoiding Arthur's gaze. His presence brought her a sense of peace and comfort and she couldn't explain why, and neither could she deny it. The drive to the cemetery was silent, but as they drove away from it, Arthur cleared his throat and spoke. “This may sound personal but can I ask you something?” Her eyes guarded as she turned to him. “Sure. What is it?” “I'm not trying to intervene into your personal life and it might sound strange but.. are you in sort of trouble or perhaps, danger?” Arthur asked. Her heart rate increased, she doesn't know why but… “no it's fine. I'm perfectly fine. Why would you think I'm in trouble?” she said, trying to brush it off. “Well. You weren't being too quiet about it. I overheard you say something and what I could make out of it was that you were in some trouble… I don't want to get the wrong idea,” Arthur said. “Drive home. I can't go to work,” Khloe said to him and he nodded. Khloe leaned backwards
Lucas and Emily Ferguson walked into the building, their luggages in their hands. They had taken a two weeks break, say vacation. “I'm exhausted, a little bath will sooth me” Emily said as she turned the knob. They stepped in to see Khloe curled up on the floor sobbing. “Khloe?” Lucas called her name and she raised her head. Her face was pale and the dry tears were evidence. “Dad?... I don't know how and when I fell asleep” she said, trying to get up. “Why are you crying? Is something wrong?” Emily said in a very sweet voice. Khloe felt disgusted by the sound of Emily's voice and was about to get up and leave. “Khloe what's going on?” His voice, sweet but gentle. “You're crying and shaking, did something happen while we were away?” Lucas asked. “No. Nothing happened. I didn't know you guys would come back this early,” she said. “I did inform you,” Lucas pointed out. “Yes, you did. Excuse me, I'll be in my room” she said dragging her feet but stopped on her tracks when Luca
Khloe Ferguson rolled out of the bed and sneezed. “Is someone talking about me?” She asked rhetorically. She got up and checked her phone. "Ah, 12:47 AM! No wonder I'm so tired," Khloe thought, rubbing her eyes as she got up to use the restroom. She had cried herself to sleep and was up way too late, lost in thoughts and worries. The sneeze had startled her, making her realise how late it was. She yawned and stretched, deciding it was finally time to get some snacks as she hadn't eaten. She walked out of her room and to the grave night snack. On her way to the kitchen, she heard mumbling sounds from Kelly's room and wondered why she was up. She pressed her ears against her door to hear what she was crying too. The sibs grew louder and Khloe decided to open the door, revealing Kelly crying on the phone. “Kelly? What's wrong?” Khloe asked, concerned about her tone. She walked closer to her crippled elder sister and sat beside her on the bed. “I.. Matt broke up with me,” she said, s
