"I am very sorry Liv," Mum said squeezing my hands gently. She woke up three days ago and I haven't left her side until Nathan visited and they both ganged up against me, asking me to go home and freshen up.

I had gone home even though I didn't want to. I had bathed, eaten, played with Claire, and slept for 2 hours before practically running back to the hospital to see my Mum. Nathan stayed with my mom until I returned.
