Thirty five

Steph sat on the couch in the living room watching the remaining episodes of friends. She had nothing else to do and would only just sit home all day watching or reading something. Alex had gone to work and it was just her and Lucy at home.

She had initially called Mia to come home to keep her company after she was done with work. Mia had promised that she would try, even though she had so much work to do.

"Can I sit with you?" Steph turned in the direction of the voice and it was Lucy.

"Of course," Steph said and adjusted on the couch.

She paused what she had been watching noticing that Lucy had something important to say to her.

"Is everything okay?" Steph asked curiously.

"Yeah but I have something to tell you," Lucy said.

Steph turned in her direction. "What's it?" She asked.

"You remember when I told you about my son?"

"Yes, I remember. You told me he was getting married."

"The wedding is in the ending of the month."
