Thirty four

Steph and Mia were going to meet today and she couldn’t wait to tell her all that had been happening with her. Her life seemed so perfect at the moment and she wouldn’t want it any other way.

Steph got to the bar at about 2pm. She walked in and realized there weren’t so many people around. It was always like that when it was in the afternoon.

Steph walked over to where the front where she and Mia always sat by the bar.

She figured Mia wasn’t there but saw Mark mixing drinks together for a customer there.

“Hey Steph, been a while,” Mark said as Steph sat on one of the chairs.

“Hey, missed this place,” Steph said.

It had been a while since she had gone out there and she had just mostly been staying home and doing nothing.

“We missed you too, how is the baby doing?” He asked.

Steph smiled. “Good but how come no one ever asks how I am anymore and it’s just about the baby,”
