Chapter 56: A protective kiss

Lucas sighed deeply when he saw the gates to his family's mansion open as the place had both bad and good memories.

The bad memories however overshadowed the good ones and that was why he refused to come here.

The bad memories came rushing to his head as the car drove to the mansion.

They finally reached it and Lucas got down from the car and headed straight for the entrance.

He rang the doorbell and barely two seconds later, the door was opened by a helper.

"Good evening, Young Master,” she greeted him and slightly bowed her head.

Lucas walked into the mansion and headed straight for the dining room as he wanted to be out as soon as possible. When he got there, he found it to be empty. This meant that his father hadn’t come down yet.

He took off his jacket and sat down on his seat. This used to be where he and his parents would sit and dine together. Back then it used to be filled with laughter but now, everything had changed.
