Chapter 55: Caught together

“You just made a deal with the devil,” Lucas said and he closed his eyes to finally get some sleep.

“The devil always loses,” Kiandra commented.

“You know, if I’m going to be nice to you, you should also be nice to me,” Lucas commented.

“Too bad, that wasn’t in the deal,” Kiandra responded and Lucas chuckled as it had skipped his mind to bring that as a condition.

There was silence after that but it was one that the two found comforting. “Kiandra,” Lucas called after some time.

“Yes, Mr Valencia,” Kiandra responded.

Lucas opened his eyes and frowned as he didn’t like the sound of her calling him ‘Mr Valencia’ especially after hearing the way his voice sounded sweet from her lips. However, he didn’t say anything as he didn’t want to push it.

“What are you thinking about?” he asked curiously

“About how I'll get to boss you around when you lose the bet,” Kiandra said and Lucas chuckled.

“Why do I feel like you have bad intentions towards me?” he responded.
