Chapter 76: Reminiscing the past

A YEAR AGO.

“Sir, where to?” The driver asked Liam after he had gotten into the car. It was late in the night and it was one of those nights where Liam stayed back in the office due to him having various meetings.

Liam looked at his watch and saw that it was already past eleven o’clock. “Take me home,” he ordered his driver who immediately started the car and started driving.

Liam looked outside the window as the car drove. Even though it was very late, there were still a lot of cars out on the road and this caused traffic. Seeing that they would be on the road for a while, he rested his head on the seat and closed his eyes.

His thoughts immediately took over and it reminded him that Belle’s birthday was in less than an hour. He opened his eyes and ran his fingers through his hair roughly as he was annoyed with himself.

Belle Valencia wasn’t like other women whom he could have easily. She was someone he couldn’t have and he had tried to convince himself of that fact countless times.
