Chapter Sixty Five

Annie jerked awake as she felt the cold splash of the water and she shivered. She tried opening her eyes but realized that she’d been blindfolded and gagged, tied to a chair like a criminal about to be interrogated by her captor.

She became scared and whimpered. She couldn’t see a thing but she heard voices coming from somewhere and then she heard a door open and close. She felt the presence of someone in the room with her but otherwise there was silence and she hoped that whoever it was, wasn’t planning on killing her.

Her voice was muffled by the duct tape covering her mouth and she jerked in her chair as tears streamed down her face wetting her blindfold.

The person walked forward and yanked off the duct tape making her scream in pain.

“Ow!that was mean!". She protested. "Couldn’t you have done it slowly?”. She hoped the duct tape had not bruised her mouth. She couldn't afford her picture to be taken by those crazy paparazzi with a bruised lip.

The person said nothing.
