Chapter Eighty

He knocked again.

“Open the door, Red.” A frown appeared on my face at the sound of his voice. I quickly wiped away my tears with the back of my hand.

“No. Go away.” I said after remembering that he didn’t have an extra key anymore. I already took it from him.

“I’m not leaving this place until you open the door.” I had almost forgotten that Aziel could be quite stubborn and annoying sometimes.

“Then be prepared to stay out there forever!” He was stubborn but I was more stubborn than he could ever be.

I folded my arms across my chest and glared at the door as if expecting Aziel to magically walk through it.

“Red,” He called and I didn’t answer. “I know you’re away, open the door we need to talk.”

“I don’t have anything to say to you. I’m sure whatever you have to say can wait till tomorrow.”

“No. You’re mad at me for some unfathomable reason.”

Unfathomable? I scoffed. He really thought there was no reason for me to be mad at him. Really?
