Do you want him as your daddy?

“Why were you sad today?” Leon asked Coco. All day she was sad but she didn't tell him anything. Now that they were alone in room at night, he asked her this question. Their parents put them to sleep and they had no idea that they were awake and talking to each other.

“Mommy and Nicholas told me about my birth mother,” Coco whispered.

Leon was shocked for sometime. He sat on his bed and asked, “When did they tell you?”

“Just recently,” Coco said. “I was always curious to know about her. I wanted to know why she left me. Why she made daddy sad? Now that I know, I don't know what to do. What to feel about it. I am very stressed.”

“Why are you stressed?” Leon asked. “You can be angry at her. You can hate her.”

Coco asked in return, “Do you hate your dad? He also left you. Do you feel bad that he left you?”

Leon couldn't say anything. After a while, he whispered, “My dad doesn't even know that I exist.”

“How do you know?” Coco asked.

“I found out sometime ago who he was,”Leon told her.
