“Are you fine?” Nicholas asked Roseanne who sat on the chair in a thud. She held up her hand indicating that she needed time to process things. Her face was not looking fine. It was as if she might vomit the facts that she just swallowed. Some indigestible facts of life!

He sat on the chair next to her and began rubbing her back. She had put her head on the table and was trying to accept what he had told her.

She could not believe that Nathaniel and Sabrina had a history together. And she heard it from Nicholas, it was unbelievable enough for her.

Nicholas came back home early this morning. As he landed in New York, all he wanted was to run to her and tell her the truth. He had made her a promise that he would not hide anything from her.
