A miracle

RODRI'S POV.

I sat behind my desk staring at the workload in front of me, I spent the morning reading and signing paperworks when I heard my phone ring, I picked it up and it was from the home clinic where my Mom was.

Vanessa's voice rang from the other end of the phone, it was about my Mom, although I couldn't make out what she was saying, I knew from the tone of her voice that the situation was urgent, so I quickly packed up the documents in front of me.

"Cancel all the appointments I have for today and reschedule them for tomorrow." I said to my secretary on my way out.

"Sir, you have a busy schedule for tomorrow already," she answered

"Then reschedule for the day after." I said and walked away without waiting for her response.

I slid into my car and sped off to the clinic with what seemed to be a thousand thoughts running through my mind. What could be happening? Was she having complications? Did she wake up already? But the tone of Vanessa's voice said otherwise, then the big qu
